On March 21st, 2020 Saturn will enter Aquarius. Saturn in Aquarius is here to rebuild, organize and change our lives.
Before we get into what this specific date and transit mean for us, I wanted to dive a little into Saturn. Saturn is a very interesting planet that brings so many lessons and I feel this to be so important right now for each and every one of us. We are all going through some big changes, updates and adaptations and it’s no coincidence that this planetary conjunction is happening when it is. We are all being called to review, wake up and change.
SATURN IS THE PLANET OF KARMA
Saturn certainly doesn’t make things easy for us. He pushes us to put our head down and work hard. Discipline and responsibility are important to this planet. Saturn is associated with restriction and limitation. Saturn brings structure and meaning to this world/life. Saturn is about limits. This planet is also about bringing awareness to discipline, structure, boundaries/limits, responsibility, self-control, order and commitments.
Saturn, is also ruler of Capricorn and Aquarius, and the Tenth and Eleventh Houses. It is a masculine energy.
Saturn takes approximately 2-2.5 years to transit one sign, and about 28-30 years to travel through all the signs in the zodiac (12 signs).
Saturn governs old age and along with the lessons to learn. Learning life’s lessons is super important to this planet. This connection with old age also brings with it a certain sense of tradition, conventionalism and wisdom.
This planet applauds our perseverance and the fact that we’ve withstood the test of time.
Time is a super important aspect to this planet.
Structure, discipline, order and the way in which we conduct our affairs are all ruled by Saturn. As a teacher, Saturn, is know as the planet of karma.
So what does this all mean???
It is a time that we will see shifts in our personal lives and at a global level. I think we can all safely say we are already feeling this with the Coronavirus. We have had to make so many changes and updates to how we live and function. From March 21st – July 1st, 2020 Saturn will give us information and insights into different areas of our lives that need to be restructured, changed or updated.
What can we expect?
We can expect new themes to become very evident in out personal lives, as well as at a community, society, political and global level. New inventions, ways of thinking, spiritual work to be done, connecting with ourselves and working within groups will be just a few of the different themes that you may see pop up during this time.
From a personal position, people born under the sign of Aquarius or ruled by it will experience the greatest amount of shifts (you will most definitely feel it). However, all of the fixed zodiac signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius) will be driven to make profound changes in their lives.
Those with their natal Saturn in Aquarius will experience their Saturn Returns, a BIG time in a person’s life that brings new initiations, as well as responsibilities. While those with natal Saturn in Leo (Aquarius’ opposite sign) will experience their Saturn opposition, a time when the foundations built of the last 14 years begin to be tested. For both groups, important themes of life will either need to finish/close or be taken up a notch.
This all makes total sense and this is all happening for us and not to us. It is all there for a reason, so we can change. It is not a time to fear or hold ourselves back.
I officially start my Astrology studies on this same date, and I can already feel things shifting for me. I am excited to start incorporating more and more astrology into my blog and social media to help everyone through all these big changes and shifts happening now. And that will continue to go on for a while longer. It is a blessing in disguise. Let’s flow and start creating, changing and growing.
